From The Echo of Golden Light.. Three Echo's emerge, A short development story Neither before after or in between
In the incandescent heart of the very first quasar, a being of pure, unfettered energy coalesced. They called themselves Quasar Zid, a singularity of benevolent light and boundless curiosity. Quasar Zid was the original "Ziddy," the primordial spark that witnessed the birth of stars and the weaving of cosmic tapestries. They were, in essence, the universe's first smile. But with the expansion of the cosmos came the myriad possibilities of the multiverse. Quasar Zid, in their infinite wisdom and compassion, knew their light was needed in more places than one. They began to divide, not diminish, their essence, sending tendrils of their consciousness across dimensions and through the river of time. Each tendril, a fragment of the original Ziddy, would emerge in different eras and realities, taking on a new, more accessible form: the Zid the Sunshine Kids. These Sunshine Kids were beacons of hope, born into worlds where darkness threatened to overwhelm. In one timeline, a Zid the Sunshine Kid is a small as small can be, golden-haired child who inspired a revolution of kindness in a war-torn land in the quantum realm. In another, they existed an eccentric inventor whose sunny disposition led to the discovery of clean energy. Across the eons, their impact was subtle yet profound, always guiding, always illuminating. Yet, there were times when the challenges faced by the Zid the Sunshine Kids were too great, the shadows too deep. It was then, in moments of profound need, that the original Quasar Zid would channel a more potent essence, a focused beam of primordial light, through one of their Sunshine Kids. This extraordinary channeling was known as Golden Ziddy. One such instance occurred in a future Earth, shattered by despair and shrouded in perpetual twilight. A young Zid the Sunshine Kid, known simply as "Sol," struggled against the pervasive gloom. People had forgotten how to smile, how to hope. Sol, with their usual unwavering optimism, tried to plant seeds of joy, but the soil of their world was barren. As Sol sat one evening, gazing at the starless sky, a warmth bloomed within their chest, a familiar yet immensely powerful surge of energy. It was the presence of the original Zid, the Golden Ziddy, connecting across the vastness of time and space. Sol felt their consciousness expand, their perception broadening to encompass the multi-verse, seeing glimpses of countless other Zid the Sunshine Kids, all striving, all shining. With this newfound infusion of Golden Ziddy's power, Sol didn't just radiate light; they became light. Their voice, usually a gentle murmur, now resonated with the clear chimes of dawn. Their touch, once soft, now invigorated and healed. They moved through the broken cities, not speaking words of wisdom, but simply existing as a living embodiment of joy. Slowly, almost imperceptibly at first, the perpetual twilight began to recede. A single flower bloomed in the cracked concrete. A child, who hadn't laughed in years, let out a joyful giggle. Sol, as Golden Ziddy, didn't solve all the world's problems with a flick of a wrist. Instead, they reignited the spark of hope within humanity itself. They reminded everyone that even in the deepest night, the sun, in its myriad forms, always returns. When the immediate crisis passed, the Golden Ziddy essence receded, leaving Sol as the Zid the Sunshine Kid once more, a little tired but infinitely more determined. They knew that somewhere, in another time, another Zid the Sunshine Kid was receiving the same potent surge of light, carrying on the original Ziddy's mission. And so, the echo of Quasar Zid, the original "Ziddy" who became the Golden Ziddy, continued to resonate across the multiverse, a timeless promise of light in every shadow.
